Here’s what took place, live in Asia primetime, on another explosive night in the Thai capital on Friday, October 17.
Tengnueng Edges Out Tun Min Aung In Epic War
Tengnueng Fairtex emerged victorious against the ultra-tough Tun “The Phenom” Min Aung in their 165-pound Muay Thai battle.
The opening round set the tone for a close-range war. “The Phenom” pressed forward with heavy combinations, while the Fairtex Training Center affiliate stayed composed and landed a slick left elbow that sliced his rival.
Round two took off at a similar place, with both warriors showcasing their well-rounded arsenal. Tengnueng cracked a one-two and drove his knee straight through, which drew an instant reaction from the 19-year-old Myanmarese.
Despite being put under immense pressure, Tun Min Aung fought fire with fire, answering with a right that connected off the Thai’s jaw in the final minute of the frame.
By the third, it was all heart. Tun Min Aung kept swinging and throwing high kicks, and Tengnueng kept answering like he was built for it.
After three high-octane rounds, the Fairtex veteran earned a unanimous decision that improved his record to 104-15.
Smith Stops Al-Wesabi In 81 Seconds To Stay Perfect
Fergus Smith made his ONE Friday Fights debut one to remember, blasting through Zahran Al-Wesabi in just 81 seconds of their 118-pound Muay Thai showdown.
The 19-year-old Brit, a protégé of former ONE World Title challenger Liam “Hitman” Harrison, came out sharp and fearless. When Al-Wesabi loaded up on a right hook, Smith beat him to the mark, landing first and pouring on a wild flurry that sent the Yemeni to the floor.
Al-Wesabi got up and tried to steady himself with a push kick, but Smith had already smelled blood. He darted in, fired off a crisp three-punch burst, and dropped his rival again.
