ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 8 with another explosive lineup as ONE Friday Fights 119 goes down live in Asia primetime.
This event features international rising stars from across the globe competing under Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA rules — most of whom will be battling for a life-changing US$100,000 contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
In the main event, Thailand’s Samingdam NF Looksuan faces Myanmar’s Sonrak Fairtex in 140-pound Muay Thai action. Samingdam previously defeated Sonrak’s teammate Seksan Fairtex by unanimous decision at ONE Friday Fights 53, and now faces Sonrak, who seeks redemption.
Already-contracted Moroccan standout Walid Sakhraji takes on Thailand’s Khunponnoi Sor Sommai in the featured flyweight Muay Thai bout. Sakhraji brings momentum from Thailand’s local circuit but faces an established fighter in Khunponnoi, who boasts six victories in ONE Friday Fights competition and won’t make the Moroccan’s welcome pleasant in what promises to be a barnburner.
Elsewhere on the card, Thailand’s Khunsuek Superbon Training Camp faces Iran’s Hassan Vahdanirad. Already-contracted Canadian Taylor McClatchie also returns to action against Lebanon’s Yara Saleh, while Turkey’s Cengiz Lale faces Japan’s Masahito Okuyama. The MMA portion features Turkey’s undefeated Ruslan Arslangereev taking on Russia’s Mikail Makrushin, with additional talent from China, Japan, and across the globe adding to the diverse lineup.
